How To Look Good In Pictures (Tips For Beginners)

Hello people! Today, I will be sharing with you on how to look good in pictures, these tips are for beginners, whether you are a model or a blogger to be, or just want to look good in your personal photos, then this is the post for you.

Now on to today’s topic. I am going to share with you my tips that I have learned after a year from fashion blogging and having my photos taken so much that it is so easy for me now.

I know how hard and frustrating it is when you are just starting and you look and find that you don’t look as good as the fashion bloggers you are following and you don’t get accepted to shoots because you are awkward with the camera, but here is my tips for you, they are easy and if you followed it, it will be so easy for you to have your photos taken every chance possible.

#1 GOOD LIGHTING

No matter how good you are on camera, if the light sucks, then you will suck and your photos will turn out to be a disaster. My tips are to shoot in sunlight since it is the best lighting you can ever find and it will make you look so good and your photos will look so professional.

#2 SMILE

I get that some models look great when they are being gloming and trying to look sexy, but fro experience smiling is the best facial expression you can take. It makes your photos look so alive and that is it, with good lighting, your photos will look like they are speaking to you.

#3 LOOK AWAY FROM THE CAMERA

I know that it is so hard to look at the camera and smile, especially if you are taking it as a career, it will takes forever to have your photos taken, so even if smiled in the first picture, by the time you are on your fifth, even though your lips are smiling, your eyes will give it away, that you are not smiling, so look away from the camera, it will make your photos seems more natural and it will hide away any kind of stress or boredom you feel after a couple of shots being taken for you. #4 STAND STRAIGHT

Okay, to tell you the truth, I suck to remember this one myself. I mean if it is not for my mom (who takes my pictures) reminding me with it, I would look so scrunchy in all of my pictures and then I would look tired and no one would think you look good when you are tired. So stand straight, shoulder back, head up and viola you will look radiant.

#5 PUT ON MAKEUP (MORE THAN YOUR NORMAL EVERYDAY MAKEUP)

Ever noticed why actress put on tons of makeup before they appear on a show or shooting something because having a no makeup look in your daily life is something and having a no makeup look on camera is a whole another story. The camera captures everything and you will end up looking so tired or worst sick with no makeup. I usually don’t put on that much makeup in my daily life, but before shooting I go on Nikki Tutorial make the look. Lots of highlighters, bright lip color, and eyeliner, you name it I probably have it on. With experience, this stuff does matter in pictures and if you want to look good there, then you need to put MAKEUP ON.

#6 FIND INSPIRATION

So, I have this trick that I would screenshot some of the postures I found on my Instagram that I like and I will try to mimic them on myself. It is so helpful because you are learning from the best.

#7 PRACTICE

Everything gets better with practice even this. I mean you can look at the super model’s first runway and they would look so bad, but once they practice, they get better with time and it is the same with you. When I first started blogging a couple of years ago, I shut this blog down after a while, I was so unnatural on camera and I was so self-conscious of myself and I thought I looked bad and this appeared on all of the images, now, I just stand straight and focus on other things, like what I am trying to show in this outfit and take photos accordingly, so practice these tips and you will look great in pictures.   

So, these were my tips for you to look more radiant in your pictures and have a great photo profile on your Instagram, follow these tips and you wouldn’t need to shoot with a professional photographer to look good on camera.
