“YOU CAN COPY ME,
BUT YOU CAN NEVER BE ME.”
So recently I have
been having anxiety over anything and everything. I knew that I need to change
myself if I want the anxiety to go and after some thinking, I found that I need
less everything in my life that has no use, but just adds up to my worry and
anxiety. I am announcing that I will adopt minimalism in every aspect in my
life. I want to feel lighter than I need
to let go of the burden that is in my life and really add no use to it at all.
So I will share with
you something I do in my everyday post. And today, since it is fashion Tuesday I
will share with you how I decided to be minimalism in my wardrobe.
First let me be
clear, what you see in the picture above in not my wardrobe. I wish it was, but
unfortunately it isn’t my clothes and I don’t have a clear camera such as the
one that took this picture. So after this, I also need to make a confession. I
might not be a shopaholic, but I am addict to clothes. I have tons and tons of
clothes and this gave me anxiety in a weird way, because it made me think a lot
about something that won’t add up to my life at all. By all means I am not a
fashion blogger and I am not a model and I don’t need to have all these clothes
and have all of the time I have wasted while I am thinking what to wear to look
the coolest and be the most fashionable.
My mom kept saying
this is not a parade and what you see in Instagram are famous people that need
to be ready for the camera, but you don’t. You can wear the same outfit over
and over again and no one will notice and if they do, it is okay. The most
important is that you look okay in this outfit and that you are clean enough. I
have spent my entire life listening to this sentence and it never really affected
me, but it suddenly did, because I am going back to college and I started to have
anxiety about what I am going to wear and what I will wear in my shoes and that
I don’t have enough pairs of shoes, even thou I do have tons of shoes, but no,
all of these shoes weren’t enough to satisfy me and I was close to weeping
yesterday, over something that won’t add much to my life.
I mean wearing a cool
outfit to my college won’t make me get an A. Unless I was either a fashion
student and would end up having an A on my outfit or I have a pervert professor
who would just give me an A over my look. I just happened to be none of them.
So I woke up today with a new plan on mind, that I will not care about what I
would wear. That I won’t buy something that I won’t use, just because it looks
cool and fashionable.
So here is my plan on
how to have a minimal wardrobe. Since I still live with my parents and my mom
would have a heart attack if she saw me letting go of my clothes, I won’t. But
I will do something a little bit sneaky. I will just put them on shelve and
will only hang up what I will use this next semester.
·
I will put there my two
favorite outfits that are suitable for my daily use in college
·
The bag that is also going
to become my go to bag with it.
·
I will chose the shoes that
will go with these two outfits.
·
I will put on my best going
out with my friends outfit.
·
Heels that are suitable
with this outfit.
·
Finally the night life outfit,
just in case of an event that pops in suddenly.
·
Just one earring that is
suitable with these outfits and my guess watch, for the jewels in my life.
I
guess this is it. This is how I will transfer my big closet into a minimal one.
Simple as this. No more over thinking about something that isn’t worth it. And most
importantly no more anxiety. How about
you? How do you keep your anxiety at bay in your life? Put it down in the
comments down below.
I would really love to know what you think of this post in
