“LET GO OF THE
LIE THAT STOPPED YOU FROM REVEALING YOUR DREAM.”
Hello people! Today I will be sharing
with you good habits that I learned in 2017 month by month that I think changed
me to be a better person this year. If you are interested to know more about
them and instill them into your life to have the 2018 like my 2017, then keep
on reading.
My gosh, when I say that I love 2017, I
mean it. I like to believe that all of the years were good to me, but 2017 was
a different story. It was my year,
everything I dreamed and more happened this year and I was happier than ever
and better than ever.
I am not sure is this because I worked so
hard to install these habits into myself, or is it the other way around. This
year and the events in it, helped me to get these habits into my life. I am not
sure of the answer, but there is something that I am sure of, I don’t care
about what caused what, all I care about is that it happened in both directions.
Without further ado, let me show you
these habits that I think can shape your 2018 into perfection.
#1 CALM DOWN
So January was the hardest month on me
from all the months that are to come ahead. It made me think that this year
would be bad, but actually because of this month, I learned something that I
didn’t have. A habit that is so hard for me that I must work on daily to make
sure it is still in me and grow in me and that is to calm down. I get angry so
easily and when I am angry, I say things that I regret after this, I threw
rocks at people and it hurts them, but most importantly, it hurts me. Because
of some argument with a friend happened in January (Without going into details)
I actually learned to calm down and think before you speak. Nothing in this
world is worth your anger and frustration and most of these will hurt you, so
take a deep breath and calm down.
#2 JUST START
I think it was in February when I started
my INSTAGRAM and taking my blog seriously. I thought that it is not that good
and will never become a thing. I honestly couldn’t see myself where I am today.
I realize that I am not there yet, but I am happy with what I am doing on my
blog and on my Instagram these days. In February, I had nothing, no knowledge
what so ever with blogging and isntagraming and I honestly have been putting it
off for the longest time waiting for the perfect plan to form, but no, just
start working on whatever you are doing and you will get better and have the
perfect plan along the way.
#3 FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU LIKE
My mom and basically everyone around me
said no to fashion blogging when I wanted to start. You need to understand that
I don’t come from the artistic types of family. Hell, my family don’t even encourage
us to have a hobby, so they refused at first, but I learned to stand up for
what I like and want to achieve this month and I am so glad I did this.
#4 YOU CAN NEVER LEARN ENOGUH
Keep learning. Let me tell you the amount
of content about how to grow your Instagram account that I have watched when I
first started Instagram was magnificent, from how to shoot the image to how to
edit them to how to get the word about your blog out there. I watched every
youtube video possible on this topic and I am so glad that I did, because my
hard work and learning made it easy for me to take better action.
#5 DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT PEOPLE THINK
ABOUT YOU
I was so afraid of what my friends will
think about when they know about my blog, but they actually was so supportive
and still so supportive with me when it comes to my YOUTUBE CHANNEL. Even if
they weren’t and laughed it off, it doesn’t matter because people will always
judge you and have their opinion on what you do, so do it anyway.
#6 LISTEN TO THE OTHER’S ADVICE
This lesson is learned the hard way. I didn’t
listen to my brother’s advice when he told me something and brushed it and
worse, I hated him for giving it to me. But thinking about it now, my brother
loves me, probably so much, more than anyone else, I should have at least taken
time and thought of what he was telling me, maybe I would have saved myself the
agony I am going on now (Losing weight)
#7 BE OPEN
This one probably shaped my entire
summer, but this one, I already had it in me. It wasn’t new, but it played the
biggest part in shaping the summer of my life. I was so open to meet new people
and try with them new things, learn new experience and enjoy my life in a way I
couldn’t think possible. Just keep your mind open to new things and it will pay
off.
#8 TO EARN MONEY YOU NEED TO WORK HARD
Work is hard, yet it is so enjoyable. I
had my first hard job this summer and it was so hard, but it taught me that to
earn money you need to deliver value, and this jumped right into my blogging.
It taught me to work hard on my blog and on my youtube in order to get the monetary
and the non-monetary benefits out of it.
#9 YOU ATTRACT WHAT YOU WANT
This one might seem weird for you, but I
imagined someone in the beginning of the summer, working as a doctor and having
a three years old girl and I imagined him and I together, like what I want my
lover to be, then in September, I liked someone that was the same way, a doctor
and had a three years old daughter, he just looked way different than what I
have dreamed of, but the same quality. It made me believe for the first time in
the law of attraction.
#10 HARD WORK PAYS OFF
As I said in the rights habits that to
earn money you need to work hard and deliver value, this one is the same, but
when it comes to your dreams. Basically, I have crossed everything in my 2017
resolutions by October because of the hard work I have put into achieving my
dreams. I will always work by this habit.
#11 BE RESOURCEFUL
I put starting my own youtube channel way
too long because I thought I didn’t have the right resources to do so, but
honestly, using what you have is great, you can work magic with it and create
something that you like and admire.
#12 BE PROUD OF YOUR HERITAGE
I write my blog in English, because, I
hate to say this, but my Arabic writing skills sucks and no one will understand
anything if I talked in Arabic, but doing my youtuber in Arabic, feels so good
and it gives me this sense of fulfilment that I haven’t felt before.
These were the habits that shaped my 2017
and I plan to take with me to 2018. If you liked this video, please let me
know, I will be happy to share with you similar content.
Till next time,
Bye
Esraa
