“I AM STRONG, BECAUSE I’VE BEEN WEAK. I AM FEARLESS, BECAUSE I HAVE
BEEN AFRAID. I AM WISE, BECAUSE I’VE BEEN FOOLISH. I’VE LEARNED.”
I am so happy today. Today is not just another blogging tips from
me that I have got from my experience. Today, I am bringing another great
blogger to tell us all about her experience in the blogging world, her
inspiration and her advice to all of us. Today I will be interviewing Nikoletta
Jonkisz from NIKOLE ANN J. But wait no, we won’t have an interview, but we will
be chatting together and I’ll be knowing her better and you too guys. Please make sure you go and check her blog
NIKOLE ANN J to enjoy perfect fashionable wearable looks.
Hello Nikoletta, thanks for doing this chat with me. I was so happy
when I saw your email that you accepted it. I won’t take so much from your
time, so let’s right jump into it.
Why don’t you tell us more about your blog?
My blog is all about fashion yet I link
it into life topics, my own experiences and things I have done or maybe places
I’ve been to. Overall my blog is a space where I am able to create and share
things I always want to share with everyone or thoughts that I have on my mind.
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been exploring blogging since 2012.
As soon as I learned more and got inspired I decided to start out somewhere. My
first ever blog is no longer up, honestly it wasn’t anything amazing but
something I will always remember.
What inspired you to start NIKOLE ANN J?
Nikole Ann J is now my third blog and one
I have grown to love. My very first blog wasn’t exactly how I’d imagined it to
be and so I drifted from blogging for a while. After a month or two I felt like
I truly missed it therefore I decided to start off fresh. My second blog was
called Secret Beauty Life and honestly that was inspired by the fact that I was
into beauty and I wanted to keep it a secret from everyone around me. People
obviously found out and I got a lot of support and encouragement which made me
happy. Finally after over a year or two I had come to the conclusion that I
liked the beauty side of things but I was no expert. I created Nikole Ann J
(named after my name; Nikoletta Anna Jonkisz) and I have decided that this blog
is just going to be me. No specific labels and if I want to mention something I
do, the only thing is the fact that I do class myself as a fashion blogger
because I love fashion. That’s my main interest so that is what you get to see
a lot of. Sorry for making this so long but I wanted to explain.
What was the hardest step in starting a blog?
I think just trying to find what really inspires
you and how to get your own personal style/content across.
What is the thing that you enjoy the most in blogging?
There is a place for everyone, there are
opportunities for everyone and a lot of improvements can be made. Blogging has
given me the opportunity to gain more confidence, gain more friends and
connections and join in on fun things. It inspires me and motivates me and I
believe that without blogging I would be a different person.
What is the thing you enjoy the least in blogging?
I don’t think there’s anything really.
The only negative aspect I’ve come across is more related to jealousy/hate
coming from someone I used to communicate with. I’m not saying it’s right for
people to do that but the sad truth is whatever you do and wherever you go
there’s going to be at least one person trying to make you fail or bring you
down.
Do you take your own pictures, or do you use a professional
photographer? If you take your own pictures what camera do you use and what
program do you use to edit your pictures?
None of my pictures are taken
professionally. I am doing blogging as a hobby and it helps me improve many
things and one of them is photography. Any photos of items (photos I’m not in)
and obviously selfies are taken by me on my phone. I used to have the Samsung
S5 and it was perfectly fine (upgraded to S7 currently). I don’t think you need
super expensive equipment because a smart phone could be fine just like it is
in my case. I usually just crop my photos on a photo editing app called Cymera
and upload then to blogger. Nothing fancy.
Who is your blogging role model?
I love Jemerced and Maffashion. Their
styles are amazing and I love to get inspiration from them. I also love the
content Isobel Celine creates, it’s always great quality and her style is
amazing. Honestly I can go on forever but everyone I’m inspired by can be found
through my instagram or blogs I follow on bloglovin.
Can you tell us what captures you the most in other blogs? Like
what do you like the most about the blogs you follow, so we can take care of
those details that captures other bloggers?
I obviously love to see great blog names,
lovely templates, the right amount of writing and beautiful photography. With
me, I find a good thing in everything therefore I love many blogs out there. As
I’m obsessed with fashion, a blogger could have the worse pictures ever but if
their style is something I’m interested in I will follow them. Be creative,
don’t let anything limit you.
Where do you want to see your blog after a year?
I have no particular vision for my blog.
All I know is that I still want to be blogging for a long time so whatever is
meant to be, it will be.
I know that I want to know and everyone else would also want to
know, what are the five advices do you give to those who want to start a blog?
1- Be
creative
2- Be
positive
3- Don’t
force anything, basically be who you truly are.
4- There is
no right or wrong way. Experiment and have fun.
5- You always
have to start somewhere. The key is to be motivated to take small steps towards
improvement.
Can you describe your blogger voice or blog voice in three words?
I’d say it’s something along the lines of
positive, supportive and creative.
Thanks so much for answering those questions. But I have one more
questions. Where can people find you on social media?
