“SOMETIMES YOU
JUST NEED TO CRY TO CLEAN YOUR EYES TO WASH ALL THE BAD STUFF AND SEE THE WORLD
WITH A CLEARER VIEW AGAIN.”
I am so happy
today. Today is not just another blogging tips from me that I have got from my
experience. Today, I am bringing another great blogger to tell us all about her
experience in the blogging world, her inspiration and her advice to all of us.
Today I will be interviewing Hilary from THE CLOSET ELF. But wait no, we won’t
have an interview, but we will be chatting together and I’ll be knowing her
better and you too guys. Please make
sure you go and check her blog THE CLOSET ELF to enjoy perfect fashionable
wearable looks.
Hello Hilary,
thanks for doing this chat with me. I was so happy when I saw your email that
you accepted it. I won’t take so much from your time, so let’s right jump into
it.
Why don’t you
tell us more about your blog?
Not going to
lie this is one of the questions I trouble with, but to sum it up The Closet
Elf is a blog filled with miscellaneous posts as I can never seem to come up
with the exact genre. Very free spirited and I would like to hope it give out
the sweet and playful atmosphere.
How long have
you been blogging?
I’ve started
my blog on October 2014, so almost two years no w.
What inspired
you to start THE CLOSET ELF?
The Closet
Elf was actually a school’s project, we were asked to create a blog to post our
passion. Mine happens to be fashion, hence my blog. After a couple posts I
started getting into the spin and schedule of posting till this day. Don’t
worry the blog no longer purpose as a school’s project.
What was the
hardest step in starting a blog?
This might
come as a surprise, but the hardest step in starting a blog is gaining the
confidence to embrace having a blog. I was never an extrovert and I kept my
blog a secret for 6 months until a friend finds out.
What is the
thing that you enjoy the most in blogging?
Overall I
most enjoy interacting with the blogging community and readers. Besides the
experience and amazing opportunities blogging has brought me being able to
interact with the readers gives a boost and motivates me to write more. I enjoy
talking with the blogging community because I feel like we can relate to one
another and have a lot in common.
What is the
thing you enjoy the least in blogging?
There is
nothing specific but sometimes it can get repetitive as I was so tied down to
the fact of scheduled posts. Hence why I don't have a posting schedule as I
want to make sure I provide quality content on the blog.
Do you take your
own pictures, or do you use a professional photographer? If you take your own
pictures what camera do you use and what program do you use to edit your
pictures?
It really
depends on the situation, If my mom or a friend is around then sometimes I’ll
ask them to help take my pictures. But most of the time it’s just myself and a
tripod. The camera I use is the Canon 6D, as for the camera lens I consistently
change them depending on what I have with me
Who is your
blogging role model?
Definitely
Samantha Marie, I’ve been a constant reader on her blog since it was still
under the name of Beuty Crush and honestly her aesthetic gives me chills it’s
just so pretty.
Can you tell
us what captures you the most in other blogs? Like what do you like the most
about the blogs you follow, so we can take care of those details that captures
other bloggers?
Personally I
appreciate any bloggers who interacts with their readers, so addressing the
readers at the post or maybe replying to the comments is something I really
like and appreciate doing. Interacting with the readers builds a stronger
connection with all the benefits for both you and them, it also shows how much
you actually care and that their opinions matter.
I know that I
want to know and everyone else would also want to know, what are the five
advices do you give to those who want to start a blog?
1.
Do it
out of love instead of fame or popularity
2.
Get to
know your readers and what they like
3.
Embrace
having a blog and don't be ashamed of it
4.
Compromise,
post things you and your readers would enjoy. This comes with experience so
just keep blogging and soon you’ll start to see the pattern and will be able to
identify what they like.
5.
Be
open to interact with your readers and acknowledge their opinions
I would
really love to know what you think of this post in the comments down below.
Till next time, bye. .
