WHY YOU HAVE TO KEEP SECRETS IN RELATIONSHIPS

At first I thought that in relationship you need to say everything that pops in your mind and if you can’t do this, then he/she is not the one. The thing is that is not right. Secrets are important in all kind of relationship, not just love relationship. No person can just go and say whatever can come in his mind we need filter and think about what you say before you say it. After all isn’t our mind what differentiate us from any other species?

Yes, at first you feel you can say anything to that partner because at first, there is nothing at stake and more importantly there is nothing that you would say that might hurt the person in front of you. Most of our talks would be small talks about everything and nothing at all. But as relationship goes by, things change and things start to matter and a lot becomes at stake, so we need to take care of what we say and do.

Maybe if my boyfriend is talking about his sports and I am not into sports and while I am listening to him, all I could think about is why do I do this to myself? I would rather do anything else. Oh yeah, I am just doing this because you are sexy. Or maybe my ex pass by and all I can think about I have done myself wrong before. I can’t just go and say all these things out loud because It will just hurt the other person and no one wishes this to anyone. Or maybe simply because I love him despite all and I know that he won’t get this, if I said those things, he will just think that I am not.

So secrets are important after all and sometimes silence can saves relationship.
